Redondo Schools Get Straight A's

Schools in the received straight A's in this year's Academic Performance Index report from the California Department of Education.

With the exception of the local continuation school, , and the , all public schools in RBUSD maintained their high scores in the state's API between 2010 and 2011.

Additionally, three of Redondo's elementary schools—, and —received perfect 10 scores when ranked statewide and against similar schools, according to data from the Department of Education.

The similar school comparison is measured the same way, except that instead of comparing schools of the same type, it compares schools with similar demographics, such as ethnicity, socioeconomic status, the percentage of students enrolled in honors programs and the percentage of students with disabilities, among other factors.
