South Bay Runners Capture Top Spots at Redondo Beach Super Bowl 10K Race

Approximately 8,000 runners participated in the race, which was hosted by the Redondo Beach Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau.

REDONDO BEACH, CA -- A pair of South Bay runners won the 39th annual Redondo Beach Super Bowl 10K race Sunday.

David Cardona, 25, who was a former North Torrance High and El Camino College standout, won with a time of 32 minutes, nine seconds. Savannah Pio, 23, of Hermosa Beach, won the women's division with a time of 38:43.

Stewart Harwell, 32, of Redondo Beach was second in the men's division with a time of 33:23. In third place was 18-year-old Carson Bix, who came in with a time of 33:37.

In the women's division, Ingrid Walters, 45, of Santa Monica, was second with a time of 39 minutes flat. Katherine McKellar, 28, of Redondo Beach was third with 39:58.
