Waterfront Redevelopment's Fate Could Rest On Who Wins Redondo Beach District Elections
The candidates fall on both sides of the issue with some falling somewhere in the middle.

REDONDO BEACH, CA -- In a city divided by the waterfront redevelopment, there are eight candidates vying for three spots on the Redondo Beach City Council this coming election.
The candidates fall on both sides of the issue with some falling somewhere in the middle. The Daily Breeze profiled each of the candidates to see their stance on the issues.
In the March 7 election, Redondo Beach residents will decide on their representatives on Districts 1, 2 and 4. The candidates are:

District 1:
- Martha Barbee
- Nils Nehrenheim
- Rolf Strutzenberg
District 2:

- Adam Wachter
In addition, residents will be choosing a mayor and, depending on who wins, it could either spell doom for the waterfront redevelopment or move it along. The candidates will need to win a majority of the vote or else the top two vote getters will move to the run-off election in May.
