2 Arrested In Peninsula Dispensary Burglary

Ivin Sims, 20 of Oakland, and a male juvenile from Stockton were arrested on suspicion of burglary and conspiracy, police said.

PACIFICA, CA — Two suspects were arrested early Sunday morning in connection with a cannabis dispensary burglary, Pacifica police said.

Ivin Sims, 20 of Oakland, and a male juvenile from Stockton were arrested on suspicion of burglary and conspiracy, police said.

Sims was later booked into San Mateo County Jail and the juvenile into the San Mateo County Youth Services Center, police said.

An undisclosed amount of stolen property was recovered, according to police.

Officers at around 2:30 a.m. responded to the 1700 block of Palmetto Avenue on the report of an audible burglary alarm, and upon arrival determined an active burglary was in progress with suspects inside the business, police said.

Suspect vehicles were observed fleeing the scene as officers were approaching the business, and two suspects fled the scene on foot, of which one was seen jumping over fences into rear yards nearby, police said.

The suspects were located at a yard at the rear of a residence on Santa Maria Avenue, police said.

The arrests culminated a 90-minute search that included the establishment of a perimeter.

Officers from South San Francisco, San Bruno and Daly City assisted in establishing the perimeter. A South San Francisco police K-9 was involved in the search.

“This investigation is ongoing and no additional information is available for release at this time,” police said in a news release.
