41 Traffic Tickets Given Out In One Day To Drivers In This Bay Area City

The operation coincided with Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month.

WOODSIDE, CA — The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office conducted a motorcycle safety operation Saturday in Woodside and handed out 41 traffic tickets for various violations, police said.

On Saturday along Skyline Boulevard and Highway 84 the SMC Sheriff’s Office planned a focussed enforcement operation and chose this area due to complaints of speeding, unsafe driving and traffic collisions, police said.

“We listened to the concerns brought forth regarding the dangerous conditions due to speeding and reckless driving, and we took action. We will continue to monitor and provide traffic enforcement to help ensure residents and visitors stay safe on our roads,” said Sheriff Christina Corpus, who is currently under scrutiny and may be removed from her position by the Board of Supervisors. “We extend our appreciation to the various community members of Woodside, La Honda, Skyline and the South Skyline Association for sharing their input and feedback with us.”
