Blotter: Attempted Car Burglary with Blood Found Nearby

Thursday, Nov. 8
1:31 a.m. - Suspicious Person: Reporting party saw an unknown subject hopping the fence into a nearby backyard. Subject was between 5'10" and 6', wearing a hoodie. Officers were unable to locate.
7:47 a.m. - Residential Burglary: Occurred on Arguello Street on Nov. 6 between 2:45 and 5:30 p.m. Screen door was pried open and taken off. Unknown if items taken. Report taken.

7:50 a.m. - Assault & Battery: Occurred at Cedarwood Way and Atherwood Avenue at Selby Lane. Occurred on Nov. 7. A juvenile was attacked by two suspects. Suspects' photo was captured, and victim recognizes the suspects. Report taken.
8:59 a.m. - Vehicle Burglary: Occurred on Poplar Avenue sometime since 2:30 a.m. Door forced/pried open. Wallet and numerous other personal items taken. Report taken.

9:12 a.m. - Attempted Vehicle Burglary/Suspicious Circumstances: Occurred on Chelsea Way sometime overnight. Screwdriver and blood spatter found nearby. Evidence of attempted burglary to vehicle parked a few spaces away as well. Report taken.
12:46 p.m. - Possible Brandished Weapon: Reporting party called to report he had a gun pulled on him on Pelican Lane, but was uncooperative and refused to provide any further information, and then hung up. Report taken.
2:19 p.m. - Trespass: Occurred on Vera Avenue. Possible 4-5 juvenile trespassers inside a home that should be vacant. Point of entry is broken rear fence. Reporting party says this is an ongoing problem with local juveniles.
7:43 p.m. - Disorderly Conduct/Public Drunkenness: Occurred on Main Street. Subject down on the ground in front of a building. Possible sleeper. Arrest made.
7:55 p.m. - Breaking & Entering/Shoplift: Occurred on El Camino Real. Theft of iPhones from store. Subject or subjects pushed through locked door to rear of store. Unknown description. Store alarm sounded and notified staff of incident. Report taken.
8:23 p.m. - Vehicle Burglary: Occurred on Woodside Road. Lock broken to vehicle and a tool box and CDs were taken. Report taken.
Friday, Nov. 9
2:21 a.m. - Vandalism: Occurred on Virginia Avenue. The boyfriend of a resident's friend smashed a window in the front of the home by the front door. The resident said the boyfriend came to the house and wanted to use the bathroom but the resident refused, so he became irate. Unknown if the suspect left by vehicle or on foot. Report taken. Officers unable to locate.
8:11 a.m. - Disturbance/Truancy: Occurred on Willow Street. Mom called the police to report that her son refuses to go to school, and now they are in a heated verbal fight.
10:28 a.m. - Petty Theft: Occurred on El Camino Real. Woman called to report that a black female wearing a blue suede top and long scarf had just stolen her purse and left through the building's emergency exit - she could now see her in the back parking lot.
10:51 a.m. - Disturbance/Road Rage: Occurred on Whipple Avenue. In a suspected road rage incident between two behicles, the driver of one car got out and approached the other car and tried to open the car door. Suspect's car was a brown Buick LeSabre.
12:30 p.m. - Residential Burglary: Occurred on Eaton Avenue. The resident called to report - front door and rear door both found open and dogs were missing, presumed to have run away. Humane Society found dogs and returned them. Unknown if items were stolen from home yet. Report taken.
2:37 p.m. - Bicycle vs Vehicle Crash, Major Injuries: Occurred at Hopkins Avenue and El Camino Real. Vehicle involved still at scene. Report taken.
2:53 p.m. - Vandalism: Occurred on Brewster Avenue. Car keyed/scratched. Possible suspect info. Report taken.
Saturday, Nov. 10
4:17 a.m. - Disturbance: Occurred on Edgewood Road. Reporting party says a female in his apartment is very drunk and is attempting to leave and drive away. Female is a juvenile Hispanic woman.
7:55 a.m. - Strong-Arm Robbery: Occurred on Hoover Street. A black male on a bicycle wearing all black wrestled a phone away from a man, then took off toward Haven downtown. Report taken.
8:15 a.m. - Vehicle Burglary: Occurred on Veterans Blvd. Window of a white Lexus parked on the second level of lot smashed. Unknown if any items taken yet. Report taken.
8:25 a.m. - Vehicle Burglary: Occurred on Redwood Avenue. Window of vehicle smashed, cell phone taken. Report taken.
9:47 a.m. - Stray Animals: A person walking her dog on Harcross Road said they came upon three pitbulls in the area, off-leash.
10:10 a.m. - Stolen Vehicle: Occurred on Redwood Avenue sometime since 7 a.m. Car was parked in a lot, and now it is not there anymore. Report taken.
10:51 a.m. - Vehicle Burglary: Occurred on Chestnut Street. Driver-side door may have been pried open. Wallet, laptop and tool box taken. Possible suspect info. Report taken.
1:18 p.m. - Domestic Violence/Battery: Occurred on E. Bayshore Road. Fist-fight taking place between two Hispanic females and one Hispanic male. Caller said it looks like one of the females may have a baby in a stroller with her.
2:13 p.m. - Suspicious Person/Circumstances: Occurred on Cove Lane. Caller reported seeing a middle eastern male with a goatee and mustache walking back and forth in the parking lot for the past 30 minutes, looking into car windows. Last seen wearing a gray sweatsuit and carrying a green water bottle. Officers were unable to locate.
2:21 p.m. - Vehicle Burglary: Occurred on Woodside Road. Green Honda Civic, was parked in lot overnight. Found trunk open and items missing. Report taken.
4:50 p.m. - Disturbance/Threats: Occurred on El Camino Real. A white male in his 30s wearing a red and black jacket was acting crazy/insane. The man walked up to the caller and his family as they were exiting a restaurant and started yelling and cursing at them, and threatening to kill them. Officers were unable to locate the suspect.
7:57 p.m. - Disturbance: Occurred on Cedar Street. Argument between a male and female - mother brought baby over for child custody visit with father and got upset when the father started taking a lot of pictures of the baby. The father said he thought he saw marks on the baby and was afraid the mother may be abusing the baby.
9:36 p.m. - Disturbance: Occurred at El Camino Real and Lincoln Avenue. Group of Hispanic teens riding Razor scooters were pretending to jump out into traffic in front of cars, almost caused a crash as two vehicles swerved to avoid them. Officers were unable to locate them.
10:38 p.m. - Disorderly Conduct/Public Drunkeness: Occured on Whipple Avenue. A white male transient who was intoxicated was standing outside a business asking people for drugs. Described as in his mid-20s with dirty blond hair and with a gold bicycle. Arrest made, booked into County Jail.
