Blotter: Man Seen Dragging and Beating Female, Armed Robbery on Charter St.

The following information was supplied by the Redwood City Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Sunday, Nov. 11

4:50 a.m. and 8:33 a.m. - Disturbance: Occurred on Beech Street at Heller Street. Two separate callers reported a car alarm had been going off since 2 a.m. Not sure which car it is, can only hear it. 

6:41 a.m. - Disturbance/Drunk in Public: Occurred on Woodside Road. Two drunk subjects were throwing water on employees of a business. First subject is Asian male around 19 years old, second subject is a white male around 49 years old. Both were arrested and taken to County Jail.

3:15 p.m. - Person Down: Occurred on Bradford Street. A Tongan male around 25 years old is lying down in the lobby of a business, possibly drunk.

5:19 p.m. - Disturbance: Occurred on Elm Street. A group of people are smoking marijuana and lighting firecrackers nearby. Reporting person does not want to make contact with them. Officers were unable to locate.

5:57 p.m. - Person Down: Occurred on Pine Street. A male subject is passed out and not moving. Report taken.

6:16 p.m. - Domestic Violence: A woman and her children have locked themselves in the bathroom. Male is pounding on the door. Woman says he does not have any weapons. Report taken.

7:58 p.m. - Disturbance: Occurred on Locust Street. Caller says several male subjects are outside in a heated argument, believes it could become physical soon. Report taken.

10:11 p.m. - Domestic Violence: Occurred on Poplar Avenue. Caller said his brother is very drunk and is trying to hit family members. Report taken.

 

Monday, Nov. 12

4:18 a.m. - Occurred on El Camino Real. Owner of a cafe says unwanted subjects have fallen asleep in the cafe and are refusing to leave. 

4:27 a.m. - Occurred on Farm Hill Boulevard. A white male in his 30s wearing a backpack is going door to door trying to open doors. Keeps apologizing and saying he thought it was his apartment.

5:52 a.m. - Disturbance: Occurred on El Camino Real. Caller reports a white male in his 70s wearing a red jacket, a blue hoodie and a baseball cap keeps yelling "9-1-1." He claims he is having a stroke and is cursing a lot. Caller said he wet his pants. Medical dispatched.

8:25 a.m. - Disturbance/Safety Hazard: Occurred on Veterans Boulevard at Whipple Avenue. Caller said a female subject is sitting on the curb half in traffic and cars are almost hitting her.

10:00 a.m. Attempted Residential Burglary: Occurred on Wheeler Avenue. Screens were cut but it does not appear subjects got inside the residence. Report taken.

3:25 p.m. - Attempted Vehicle Burglary/Suspicious Person: Occurred on Myrtle Street. Caller reported a subject tampering with a black vehicle with tinted windows. Subject is 6 feet tall, appears to be a Hispanic male juvenile wearing a gray hoodie and holding tools in his hand. Looks like he is trying to pry the door open. Officers were unable to locate.

3:29 p.m. - Vandalism: Occurred on Fay Street. Objects thrown at victim's windows, smashing them. The victim saw two subjects possibly responsible - a Hispanic male juvenile with a yellow bike and wearing jeans. Victim knows where he lives. Other subject was a Hispanic male juvenile wearing a white shirt. Report taken.

4:45 p.m. - Disturbance: Occurred on Broadway. Caller reports seeing a man urinating in the hedges along the street. Subject was wearing a black hoodie, jeans and white tennis shoes. Officers were unable to locate.

 

Tuesday, Nov. 13

7:11 a.m. - Disturbance: Occurred on Stambaugh Street. Caller reports hearing yelling and things breaking since 5 a.m. Thinks a woman and her two sons live there.

11:21 a.m. - Stolen Vehicle: Occurred on Chelsea Way. Vehicle last seen just after midnight. Report taken.

1:38 p.m. - Drug Activity: Occurred at Alden and Arguello streets. Possible drug activity - three Hispanic males sitting at a table with a scale and other materials. Arrest made.

1:53 p.m. - Shoplift: Occurred on Veterans Boulevard. Two black females stole some kitchenware and are attempting to leave in a white Lexus. Report taken.

2:53 p.m. - Grand Theft: Occurred on Broadway. Suspect stole a backpack with a laptop. Described as a black male in his 20s, tall and thin, wearing a black hoodie and long pants. Arrest made. 

3:33 p.m. - Assault: Occurred on Duane Street. Suspect punched one person in the nose, and lunged at another female but did not touch her.

3:40 p.m. - Theft/Public Drunkeness: Occurred on Broadway. Caller reports a male suspect, either Hispanic or Indian, ran up to a table in the back of the restaurant with a woman sitting at it, grabbed her belongings and ran. Suspect was wearing a tan shirt and tan pants and was possibly drunk. Report taken.

8:10 p.m. - Armed Robbery: Occurred on Charter Street. A father called to say his son had just been robbed by three black males, all wearing all black with beanies on thier heads. Son said two of the suspects lifted up their shirts and showed him they had guns in their waistbands. Report taken.

8:27 p.m. - Disturbance/Domestic Violence: Caller reports he is watching a man hitting a female and dragging her along the ground. Report taken.

10:38 p.m. - Disturbance: Occured on 18th Avenue. A father called to report his son is acting up and threatening to overdose himself on sleeping pills and antibiotics.
