This is a wonderful opportunity for families to connect with resources both within and outside their local community. Proceeds from purchases at the fair will go directly towards purchasing materials and funding field trips for Taft students. There'll be jumpers, face painting, games, ice cream, a cake walk, tacos, tamales, pozole, corn on the cob, cotton candy, popsicles and lots of great performances throughout the day. Music will be provided by DJ Bay Boss Luis Rodriguez and performances include students from Mrs. Morales dance group, Zumba, Mexico Vivo!, Community Street Jam, PAL Karate and Salto Norteno.
Taft Community School is dedicated to providing a quality education to all students. We currently serve 570 students in kindergarten through fifth grades. Within our student population 76% are English Language Learners, 100% are eligible to receive free or reduced price meals, and 57% come from homes in which the parent did not graduate from high school.
This fundraiser is a wonderful way to support these students and help them to gain the education they need to continue successfully in school, and in life.
