REDWOOD CITY, CA — The world had no choice in the matter when Cynthia Jean Teneyuca stormed the scene on January 29, 1965.

Immediately at a young age, Cynthia believed she could do anything. She demonstrated this can-do attitude throughout her life, always proclaiming her confidence no matter what the task at hand. This ambition allowed her to pursue numerous paths throughout life. Obtaining her cosmetology license and eventually opening her own salon, Ambiance, was one of her proudest achievements.

Later in life she helped to successfully build and brand Burlingame Mufflers, expanding her wide range of talents and abilities. She was a firm believer that she could use her voice and the power of persuasion as compensation for anything she may have lacked.

She also loved animals and had a handful of sidekicks over the years from horses, to cats and dogs. Welcoming her son Skyler into the world was undoubtedly her proudest moment, and watching him flourish on and off stage remained her biggest source of devotion and inspiration.

Cynthia had an undeniable love for family and friends, always the mastermind behind getting everyone together with her elaborate plans and ideas. Up until her last visit in the hospital, she was phoning family and friends, inviting them to celebrate Easter Sunday together and even extending invitations to the nurses.

Cynthia was bubbly and bright, always finding a way to organize time together and never taking no for an answer. She had a keen eye for design and could throw one hell of a party. She was unapologetically loud, full of laughter and vibrance. Simply being in Cynthia’s presence was an experience. She had a larger than life personality with a zealous love for life itself. All those who knew her or had the pleasure of simply meeting Cynthia understood just how exceptionally memorable she was.

Her big smile and warm soul will be deeply missed, but the brightness of her light shines on.

Services to celebrate Cynthia’s life are being held at Alta Mesa Memorial Park on Friday, July 28 from 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m.
