Peninsula Wrong-Way Driver Arrested On Suspicion Of DUI
The driver, identified as a Redwood City man in his 40's, came within five feet of crashing into an oncoming police car, authorities said.
FOSTER CITY, CA — A wrong-way driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI late Saturday night after he nearly crashed into an officer driving a patrol car, Foster City police said.
The suspect, a Redwood City man in his 40s, was subsequently booked into San Mateo County Jail, police. Lt. Lee said.
The suspect was driving the wrong way on E. Hillsdale Boulevard near Leo J. Ryan Park at around 11:45 p.m., Lee said.

“The officer had to turn on her lights and sirens to get him to stop,” Lee said. “He stopped five feet in front of the officer.”
