The photo exhibit, running through May 12, 2013, highlights San Mateo County's effort to build reliable roads and railways to its isolated coastline, from stagecoach roads, to the failed Ocean Shore Railroad, to the rockslide-plagued Highway 1 that exists today.
The San Mateo County History Museum is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and is located at 2200 Broadway St. in Redwood City.
