Poodle Found Underneath Car In Redwood City Available For Adoption
The poodle, a tripod adult named Lia, was not microchipped and didn't have a collar or tags.

REDWOOD CITY, CA — A poodle found “cowering underneath a car” in Redwood City is available for adoption at the Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA.
The poodle, a tripod adult named Lia, was not microchipped and didn’t have a collar or tags. Her right leg was amputated after a medical evaluation, and staff estimated she is about two years old.
“Despite missing a limb, Lia is still very playful and agile,” said PHS/SPCA Communications Manager Buffy Martin Tarbox. “She’s done quite well in learning how to adjust to being a tripod and is very sweet and affectionate. She’ll make a loving addition to someone’s home.”

Lia was discovered in May. She was made available for adoption at the Tom and Annette Lantos Center for Compassion in Burlingame after nobody claimed her.
To visit Lia, call the shelter at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment.
