San Carlos Neighbor's Big Game Snack Recipe: Sami Pot Roast
This mixture of rump roast, bar leaf hamburger buns and pepper corn will leave you salivating.
SAN CARLOS, CA — If you plan it right, the snacks at your football watch party on Feb. 11 will be as much discussed as the key plays. When we asked San Carlos readers to submit their MVP-worthy recipes, Bigge Ailu submitted this recipe:
Sami Pot Roast:
- 1 rump roast
- 1 Bay Leaf
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 8 pepper corns
- Water and beef broth to cover half of the Roast in a pot.
- Bring to boil on the stove top. At 350F, roast in the oven covered for about 2 hours or until tender. Turn roast after 1 hour. Add liquid as needed.
- Slice meat thinly for sandwiches.
- In a hamburger bun place pickles, red onion, tomato, mayo, mustard and the sliced meat.
You can still submit recipes for appetizers, dishes or snacks to inspire others who are fourth and long and short on ideas. Be sure to tell us why your guests will do a touchdown dance over your party spread.
