SMC Power Outage Affecting Thousands Of Customers
There are major outages in multiple areas on the Peninsula.
SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — Pacific Gas & Electric is reporting on their outage map that 8,361 customers in San Mateo County are without power this afternoon.
The outage started around 12:05 a.m. PG&E estimated the power would be restored by about 5:15 p.m. a.m. The cause of the power outage is not known. No other information is available.
There is an outage in Belmont that is affecting 6,208 customers.

There was a road closed in Belmont early Monday morning due to an emergency power pole replacement.
