Woman Rescued, Cats Die In Fire In Redwood City: Fire Officials

REDWOOD CITY, CA — A woman was injured in an apartment fire Sunday in Redwood City that killed several of her cats, according to Redwood City Fire Department officials.

At around 6:20 p.m. on Sunday, RCFD firefighters received calls about a fire in an apartment building at 1567 Gordon St.

One woman was rescued from the fire and transported to a local hospital but multiple cats did not survive the blaze.

Another person was displaced due to the fire.

Fire officials are investigating the cause of the fire.
