Registration, Welcome Events for Rockridge Elementary Schools

First day of classes for the 2013-14 school year at Oakland Unified School District schools is Monday, Aug. 26. 

Here are some key dates for local elementary schools:

Chabot Elementary School: Saturday, Aug. 17, informal playdate for incoming kindergarten families. Friday, Aug. 23, kindergarten registration, 1-2 p.m., with registration for grades 1-5 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. See the Chabot School website for details.

Emerson Elementary School: Sunday, Aug. 18, welcoming event for new families, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday-Friday, Aug. 21-23, registration for returning students. Saturday Aug. 24, volunteer workday, 9 a.m.-noon. See the Emerson Elementary School website for details.
