Sprouts & Shutters: New Bar, Music Venue Coming to Telegraph Ave.

The owners hope to open by October.

New owners have purchased the Leo's Pro Audio building at 5447 Telegraph Ave., Oakland, and plan to open a bar, live music venue and small boutique in the space, the East Bay Express reports.

The new business will be called Leo's in honor of the recording equipment store that operated there for 56 years before closing in 2012, the Express article says.

The new owner is the Parish Entertainment Group, which operates The New Parish in Oakland's Uptown district.

Leo's is located at the corner of 55th Street, across Telegraph from another longtime fixture in the area, Caspar's Hot Dogs.
