The New School Year at Oakland Tech: Registration, Welcome Freshmen BBQ, Important Dates

Incoming freshmen at Oakland Technical High School are invited to a welcome BBQ on Friday, Aug. 23 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the north end of Lake Temescal (closest to the swimming beach; enter off Broadway). See a map and more details on the Oakland Tech website here.

REGISTRATION

Ninth grade registration and orientation (last names beginning A-M): Wednesday, Aug. 14, 8:30 a.m.

Ninth grade registration and orientation (last names beginning N-Z): Thursday, Aug. 15, 8:30 a.m.

Tenth grade registration: Friday, Aug. 16, 9 a.m.

Eleventh grade registration: Monday, Aug 19, 9 a.m.

Twelfth grade registration: Tuesday, Aug 20, 9 a.m.

What to bring: $5 for mandatory school ID and $20 to $30 for PE uniforms (cash or money order only). A pen to complete forms. New students must bring a copy (not originals) of immunization records to leave with the school. Returning students must bring any textbooks that need to be returned. Seniors should bring their Social Security numbers to apply for Cal Grants (financial aid).
