Santa Rosa Whole Foods Evacuated During Fire

SANTA ROSA, CA — A fire broke out Thursday at a Whole Foods Market in Santa Rosa, prompting an evacuation of the store.

The structure fire, which was reported at 12:24 p.m. at the Whole Foods at Coddingtown Center, involved the heating and air conditioning unit and roofing materials, the Santa Rosa Fire Department said on Twitter.

Forty people were safely evacuated from the store and the blaze was under control by 1:40 p.m., the fire department said.

There was minimal water damage inside the store, fire officials said.
