SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA — A group of juveniles recently lit one stolen vehicle on fire and led police on a chase in another, according to authorities.
Sacramento County sheriff’s deputies responded just after midnight Monday to a burglary alarm in the 4300 block of Warehouse Court in North Highlands, and received an additional 911 call about a vehicle set on fire, police said. Law enforcement tried to stop a suspect vehicle, but the driver fled until deputies disabled the vehicle near Macaroni Avenue and Lacy Lane, according to police.
The driver and three occupants fled on foot but authorities used a drone and a K-9 to find them, police said, adding law enforcement also recovered a rifle and a handgun. The four minors were arrested and booked into county juvenile hall, according to police.
