What's the best or worst parenting advice you ever received?

 

Have a flexible birth plan. When the baby naps, you nap. Develop a schedule for the baby. Make time for date nights with your husband. Don’t eat your child’s leftovers.

Those are just a few of the pieces of advice I’ve received in the last few months.

My due date will be here before I know it and in the meantime, I’m trying to soak in as much information about how my life is about to change and how to prepare for it (Although is it possible to ever really be prepared for your first child?!).

Now it’s your turn. Whether it’s advice on how to stay sane the first few months, how you got your baby to sleep through the night, an amazing product you couldn’t imagine living without or a book that you read and found super helpful, I want to know.
