Live Auctions Return to Denio’s Market

Reaching back to its roots, after nearly 20 years without live auctions, announced today that TGW Auctions will bring back the old-time tradition that helped get Denio’s founder Jim Denio started in 1947.

Three auctions are scheduled for December with the first one taking place Saturday, Dec. 10, starting at 10 a.m.

Col. Larry G. Folkerts of TGW Auctions brings more than 10 years experience as an auctioneer in North Dakota. Like Denio’s Farmers Market, TGW Auctions is a family venture that includes Larry Folkerts, his brother Gary, niece Briana, and parents Jerry and Charlotte.

“Our family is very excited to have TGW at Denio’s to conduct premier live auctions. It brings back many fond memories from my past when it was a weekly event and I helped out my dad as a ringman,” said Ken Denio, Owner of Denio’s Farmers Market. “If people haven’t experienced a live auction, they need to come out to Denio’s and witness one taking place first hand. We’re thrilled to have an experienced auctioneer like Larry on-site. This really is a great addition to our farmers market & swap meet.”

Auctions at Denio’s will be “no-reserve” auctions. The selling price will be determined by the bidder, and all items will be sold. Cash, debit and credit cards will be accepted.  A $25 refundable deposit is required to register and receive a bid card and a 10 percent buyer’s premium and sales tax is charged.
