Placer SPCA Announces 2012 Board of Directors

announced the January election of its new Executive Committee officers and the installation of two new board members.

Marcus Lo Duca, Attorney at Law, will serve as the Placer SPCA Board President in 2012.

“The Placer SPCA is the best run non-profit organization with which I've been associated,” said Lo Duca, who has served on the board of directors for many organizations. “The staff and the volunteers do an incredible job every day maximizing the resources provided to them to the benefit of companion animals that come into their care.”

Other officers include President Elect John Mason of Gurnee & Daniels; Past President Robin Trimble, CEO of Rocklin Chamber of Commerce; Treasurer E. Howard Rudd, president of Integral Financial; Secretary Mark Davis, president of Sierra View Construction; and Member-at-Large Gail Reinke of NEC Electronics America (retired).

New appointees to the Placer SPCA Board of Directors are Al Johnson, owner of Al Johnson Consulting, LLP and former Roseville City Manager, and Karen Hauber-Grahl, a private practice Speech-Language-Learning Specialist.

“I have volunteered at the Placer SPCA for more than fifteen years…it is a privilege to be part of an organization that does such an excellent job helping animals,” said Hauber-Grahl.

Each member of the Placer SPCA board has the opportunity to serve two three-year terms.

“The Placer SPCA has an 18-member board comprised of some of the most well-respected and professional individuals from throughout Placer County,” said Placer SPCA CEO  Leilani Fratis.  The Board of Directors is responsible for guiding the mission and vision of the organization and other fiduciary responsibilities.  “They serve a very important role,” said Fratis.
