Celebrate Granite Bay's State Championship Friday & Share Your Photos

The event will be held at the Grizzly Football Stadium this Friday evening, beginning at 6:30 p.m. (rain or shine) and is free to the public.

Granite Bay's football team stunned Long Beach Poly High School with a 21-20 victory to claim the school's first State Championship. The team will be honored during a free celebration at the Granite Bay High Football Stadium Friday night, along with State Champion cross country runner Maggie Bell and the boys golf team, which also won a championship.

In addition, Granite Bay High School’s award-winning Emerald Brigade Marching Band will perform as will the school’s Extreme Dance Team and the Cheer Team.Β  Grizzly Football Coach Ernie Cooper will speak briefly and unveil the school’s latest trophy – the CIF Division I State Championship.

There are nearly 2 million high school students in California competing for seven state championships each year.Β  In 2012, Granite Bay High School won State Championships in three (golf, cross country and football) of the seven sports (golf, cross country, football, basketball, track and field, volleyball and wrestling).Β  Bring your friends, your family and your neighbors as we celebrate the remarkable achievements of these outstanding student athletes.
