  1. Want to watch a fun, unique sport this weekend? Head out to the Folsom SVRA for the Granite Bay Grinder. More than 1,000 middle-schoolers and high-schoolers will compete in this mountain biking event. “It’s a really intense, heavy-duty sport,” said Mark Ferry, executive director of Cycling Development in Folsom. Ferry also says it's a fun sport to watch. Kids from across the region will compete, so you may see some you know! (Roseville Today)
  2. Do you make the best apple pie around, or maybe you quilt like nobody's business? If so, the Placer County Fair is looking for you! The fair is accepting applications for the fair competitions. Vendor applications are also being accepted now. (Roseville Today)
  3. Have you seen all of the construction along Baseline Road in West Placer? The crews are widening the road to four lanes. Ultimately, the expectation is that the roadway will be six lanes wide, to take travelers all the way into the City of Sacramento. Work is also underway for a different route from Highway 65 to Highway 99 and into Sacramento for travelers who don't live along the Baseline corridor. None of this will be done overnight. The plan calls for work along the two roadways for decades into the future. (placer.ca.gov)
  4. Are you a Rocklin resident looking to become a leader in your community? Several commissions and boards have openings and some look like fun! How about working on the Arts Commission, or the Community Recognition Commission? Check 'em out and apply now! Applications are due by April 7. (rocklin.ca.us)

After canvassing the area, it was determined two pressurized cologne bottles exploded near the five story parking garage. There were no injuries reported. The mall is safe and there are no ongoing safety concerns." (City of Roseville, California Police Department via Facebook)
  • "Don't miss your chance to experience a night of side-splitting laughs and unforgettable entertainment! 🤣With just a few tickets left, reserve your spot now to see @standupdan, national headliner, The Tonight Show guest, and Cobra Kai star, live at the Roseville Theatre on Friday, April 14! " (Roseville Parks & Recreation via Instagram)
  • Final Gravity is "pairing 4 fabulous beers with 4 tasty girl scout cookies for one delicious flight!" Don't miss this unique fun on April 8!
