Man & Dog Stabbed in Citrus Heights, Suspect Flees
Police are searching for a suspect who allegedly stabbed a man and dog near the Citrus Heights/Roseville border.

Police are searching for a man who allegedly attacked and stabbed a man and his dog while walking in Citrus Heights around 10 a.m. Monday.
Citrus Heights Police responded to the 7400 block of Auburn Oaks Court at the Citrus Heights/Roseville border, after the suspect allegedly attacked them near the back of an apartment complex.

The suspect is described as a white male his 50’s, 6’ 5”, muscular build with a shaved head.
Both victims sustained non-life threatening injuries; the male was transported by ambulance to a local hospital and animal control responded to the scene.

“The suspect attacked the victim while he was walking his dog, the victim fought back during the attack and possibly injured the suspect," according to Citrus Heights Police PIO Bryan Fritsch.
The suspect is still at large, last seen leaving the area on a bicycle. Investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident is ongoing. Citrus Heights Police are asking anyone with anonymous tips or information regarding the incident to please call 916-727-5500.
