Man Hospitalized in Random Beating in Roseville

A 49-year-old Roseville man was hospitalized by an apparently random attack from a teen earlier this month, police say.

The man was walking with a friend around 9:20 p.m. on June 4 in the Roseville Heights area of Main Street and Marshall Avenue.

Three unknown teenaged males were walking behind the pair, and suddenly one of them punched the man from behind, according to a Roseville Police crime log.

The man fell to the ground, and the teen kicked him in the face, police say.

"The victim was hospitalized for a few days due to his injuries," the police crime log states. "The suspect was described as an Hispanic male between the ages of 17-19, 5-foot-5-inches tall and 120 pounds, with short black hair, wearing a white tank top and blue denim shorts."
