Mosquito Treatment in Western Roseville Set for Tuesday Morning

The fog treatment will be in western Roseville.

A ground-based fog treatment will target adult mosquitos in western Roseville early Tuesday morning. 

The EPA-approved mosquito adulticide will be applied in ultra low volume fog by truck between 3:30-6 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, according to the Placer Mosquito and Vector Control District.

Treatment areas will be the residential neighborhoods from Hayden Parkway south and west of Fiddyment Road in western Roseville to the city's border. Some unincorporated areas west of the city will also be treated, according to the district. You can see the map above and here

Earlier this summer, mosquito samples taken from surveillance traps in Roseville and Placer County tested positive for West Nile virus.
