  1. Eleven-year-old Tanner Tripp of Roseville, went missing Wednesday morning. Police say he did not show up at school. Authorities put out an alert and, thankfully, Tanner was found around 3:00 in the afternoon. (KTXL FOX 40 Sacramento)
  2. Folsom Lake is looking good! The lake level started the year at 140 percent of average and snowpacks are well above average, so hopes are high for a good spring! All California reservoirs except Trinity Lake are above 50 percent of capacity and most are nearing or exceeding yearly averages with Lake Oroville at 122 percent and Lake McClure at 156 percent! That's something we haven't heard around here in many years! (Roseville Today)
  3. Placer County passed an ordinance on Tuesday regulating backyard beekeeping. Previously, no codes addressed beekeeping, so some areas had a large concentration of hives and elevated nuisance complaints. "The adopted ordinance now requires beekeepers to follow a set of standards that includes notifying adjacent neighbors of their operation, ensures water source adequacy and requires a setback for hives of at least 50 feet from a property line." 4. An encounter with a suspect led to a scary situation for one Lincoln police officer. The officer was attempting to gather information from a suspect who had returned to the scene of an earlier robbery. During the interview, the suspect returned to his vehicle and attempted to flee. The officer pursued the suspect and ended up hanging halfway out of the vehicle as the suspect sped off. Due to quick action by the officer, the suspect was subdued and the vehicle brought to a safe stop. “Incidents like this are rare in our community but they serve as a reminder that even Lincoln is not immune from situations that threaten the safety of our officers and the public,” Lincoln Public Safety Chief Matt Alves said. The suspect was booked into the Placer County Jail. (Gold Country Media)
