Police Arrest Man on Suspicion of Sexually Abusing Children

Michael Scott Nodine of Roseville was arrested on suspicion of sexually abusing a child. Police believe there may be additional victims that have yet to come forward.

Roseville Police are encouraging victims to come forward who may have been sexually abused by a local man. Michael Scott Nodine of Roseville was arrested June 26 on suspicion of sexually abusing a child for more than 10 years, according to Roseville Police.

Detectives believe 45-year-old Nodine may have molested other children. He has lived in both Roseville and Rocklin over the past several years when the alleged abuse occurred and worked in Folsom, Roseville Police report.

Although he does not work with children, Roseville Police detectives believe that Nodine contacted his alleged victims through family or social relationships. Detectives also believe he may have contacted children through Internet-based video game groups.

Police believe that additional potential victims could include both boys and girls ranging in age from 5 to mid-teens.

Since his arrest, Nodine has also been charged with two additional offenses related to the sexual abuse of minor children.

Nodine is being held in the Placer County Jail in lieu of a $1 million bail.
