Restaurant News: Updates on Jack’s Urban Eats, Sangria, Hill’s Kitchen

Sammy Hagar’s restaurant is set to open with an “invitation-only” event Saturday, while . But what’s the status with a few other restaurants? Here’s the scoop I’ve been able to find out regarding a few new restaurants:

Jack’s Urban Eats: This Sacramento eatery’s second Roseville location will open for lunch on Monday, Sept. 17, they announced via Facebook. at the Fountains at Roseville. Their menu includes custom-built salads, carved meats and sandwiches. Visit their website for more information.

Hill’s Kitchen: We couldn’t reach Chef David Hill at Hill’s Kitchen, but according to the restaurant’s Facebook page, they’ve been busy taste-testing and menu planning preparing for the opening, which is expected this fall. Hill's Kitchen will take over the former Pause Lounge location on Eureka Road. Hill also runs the popular Chef's Table restaurant in nearby Rocklin. Hill's Kitchen's menu will include fresh seafood and meats. 

Sangria: This tapas restaurant was expected to open months ago in the former Piatti Ristoranti location at the corner of E. Roseville Parkway and Douglas Boulevard, . We haven’t been able to confirm with owners what the plans currently are for the Mediterranean restaurant, but according to Karen Garner with the City of Roseville’s economic development department, the planning department approved an exterior color change to the restaurant in March. However, no construction plans have been submitted to the City’s building department.
