- A new fitness spot is coming to Rocklin. It's called Rumble Boxing. You can learn all of the best boxing moves and maybe some dance moves, too ... because the owner of Rumble Boxing used to tour with J-Lo and danced at big events, including the Super Bowl! He's coming back to his roots here to help give back to the youth, and he feels fitness is a great way to do that. (ABC10.com KXTV)
- If you need to go to the Placer County offices in Auburn for any reason, plan a little extra time from March 27 until May 31. That's when a road closure will be at Richardson Drive between B Avenue and C Avenue "as part of a utilities project that will serve county buildings including the future Health and Human Services Center." (placer.ca.gov)
- Roseville's Concerts on the Square returns this summer! "For those looking for a more low-key and casual alternative to large shows, the Downtown Roseville Concert series serves up some great outdoor fun in the heart of downtown." Opening night is June 17, when Motley 2 will take the stage. (Roseville Today)
- Some great police work, an alert citizen and some blind luck all came together to catch a couple of bad guys in Roseville recently. The alert citizen witnessed two people taking mail out of a community mailbox. They noted the license plate of the vehicle and gave it to Roseville police, who traced it to a local residence. An officer recognized the name of one of the residents as someone who had allegedly cashed a fraudulent check. And, as luck would have it, a Sacramento County probation officer was also conducting a probation search at the residence and came across oodles of documents with personal identification information belonging to other potential victims. Got 'em! (City of Roseville, California Police Department via Facebook)
