To anyone who notices a large police presence around Woodcreek High, Silverado Middle or Roseville High School tomorrow: Don't worry–it's only a drill.
Roseville Police officers will be practicing their responses to active shooter scenarios at those schools throughout the day.
According to a police department press release:
Roseville Police Department officers will be in training throughout the day Tuesday, June 18, on the Woodcreek High School, Silverado Middle School and Roseville High School campuses. If you're in the area of those schools tomorrow, you might see or hear officers and student actors acting out various training scenarios involving active shooters.
This training is part of City of Roseville's ongoing commitment to be well-prepared for emergencies. The Roseville Police Department and Fire Department train regularly along with school officials, so that officers and firefighter-paramedics are ready to respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations.
