Roseville, Sacramento Entrepreneur Named IFA Franchisee Of The Year

ROSEVILLE, CA — Josephine Suryono, a multi-unit AtWork franchise owner, has been honored as a 2024 Franchisee of the Year by the International Franchise Association (IFA).

The award, which recognizes franchisees for exceptional leadership, business success, and community engagement, was presented during the annual IFA conference in Las Vegas recently.

Suryono, who operates top-performing AtWork offices in Sacramento and Roseville, was recognized for her commitment to workforce development and dedication to helping job seekers.

“Josephine’s drive and focus are palpable, and she is extremely deserving of this award,” said Jason Leverant, president and COO of AtWork. “She actively collaborates, mentors fellow franchisees, and embraces new initiatives. Franchisees like Josephine make a lasting impact on their communities.”

Originally from Indonesia, Suryono immigrated to the U.S. to pursue higher education before beginning a career in engineering and business analysis at Hewlett-Packard. Inspired by her mother’s entrepreneurial spirit, she transitioned into business ownership, opening her first AtWork office in 2017.

Under her leadership, AtWork Roseville has become the top-performing office in the franchise system, leading in both revenue and profitability. In 2024, her offices partnered with over 40 businesses, providing staffing solutions across industries including manufacturing, IT, administrative, accounting, and engineering.

Beyond business, Suryono is known for her community involvement, working with nonprofits and government agencies to support refugees, job seekers, and individuals in need.

“She is not just building a successful business—she is building opportunities for people,” Leverant added. “Her ability to foster relationships while driving business growth is truly extraordinary.”
