Sammy Hagar To Come To Roseville In September

Hagar will unveil a program that will give $2,500 a month to local charities.

Mark your calendars: Sammy Hagar will be back in Roseville Thursday, Sept. 5.

According to the city, Hagar will be in the Downtown Roseville Town Square at 2 p.m. From the city:

Sammy Hagar will be in Roseville to present checks to local non-profits from the restaurant and his family foundation; to give our new town square the rock-n-roll star treatment; and to help celebrate the 1-year anniversary of the opening of Sammy’s Rockin’ Island Bar & Grill in downtown Roseville.  Hagar will also be unveiling a new giving program in which his downtown Roseville restaurant will be giving $2,500 a month to local charities.

Last September, he opened Sammy's Rockin' Island Bar & Grill on Vernon Street in Downtown Roseville and kicked off the opening with a sold-out concert that helped raise money for local charities.

Hagar also plans to open a second restaurant, Sammy's Beach Bar & Grill, at the Westfield Galleria at Roseville. It's expected to open either later this year or early next year, Patch reported.

Hagar will be playing at Thunder Valley Casino in nearby Lincoln Sept. 5 and will be in Roseville to present checks to local charities, according to Brian Jacobson with the City of Roseville.
