County Sheriff's Detectives Looking for Barn Burglar

Officials ask public to help identify suspect.

Placer County Sheriff's detectives want area residents to help identify a man caught on surveillance video in a Loomis barn early Saturday morning.Β

While he isn't suspected of taking anything, the prowler may be connected to an ongoing sporatic series of barn thefts in the County's rural areas, said Sherifff's Detective Ryan West.

"This is the first time we got a nugget of information on this even though he was spooked away," West said. "Somebody obviously has created a source of income by walking around barns late at night and selling things like lawnmowers for $50 off and on."Β
