California has the highest rate of childhood leukemia in the nation, and more than 99-percent of childhood cancer survivors face chronic health issues due to treatment. Despite the urgent need, federal funding for pediatric cancer research remains significantly lower than that for adult cancers, making community-driven initiatives like this critical.
