Woman Test-Drives Truck for Sale, Never Comes Back

A resident trying to sell his pickup last week got rid of it, but not in the way he had hoped.

The man met a prospective buyer–who police say contacted him through Craigslist–around 1 p.m. on June 4 at a gas station on Douglas Boulevard near I-80.

"The prospective buyer asked to take the truck for a test drive, got in, drove away and didn't come back," Roseville Police say in a crime log. "The truck is still missing."

Here's how police describe the truck and the woman who stole it:

"The stolen truck is a red 1986 Toyota pickup with a white camper shell. The suspect was described as an Hispanic woman in her 30s with black hair in a ponytail and a tattoo on the side of her neck, wearing a black top, multi-colored plaid shorts and black high heels."
