SAN FRANCISCO, CA — As we head into the new week, we've rounded up the stories you may have missed Saturday and Sunday to prepare you for Monday.

But before we jump into Northern California's top stories, residents should expect calm conditions to persist throughout the week, according to the National Weather Service. Additionally, temperatures will slowly cool through the weekend.

"Today begins a gradual cooling trend that will persist through the work week," NWS San Francisco forecasters wrote Monday.

In other news, two people were killed and as many as 60 residents were displaced by a "suspicious" apartment complex fire; a person from rescued after a 50-foot fall from a cliff; a man was convicted of sexually assaulting a minor at a gym; a search was suspended for a missing swimmer; and a small plane made an emergency landing in a state park.
