4 Found Dead In Westwood Highlands: San Francisco Police
The police department's homicide detail is leading the investigation, according to authorities.
SAN FRANCISCO — Four people were found dead on Wednesday in San Francisco’s Westwood Highlands neighborhood, according to police.
Officers responded shortly before 1:30 p.m. to the 900 block of Monterey Boulevard for a well-being check and arrived to find the bodies, police said, adding the deceased were declared dead at the scene.
The deceased were all members of the same family, and included two adults and two children, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.

The police department’s homicide detail was notified and is leading the investigation, according to authorities.
“This appears to be an isolated incident, and there is no general threat to the public,” the San Francisco Police Department said in a news release.

KTVU reported that the deceased were found inside a home, and that two sources told the station the deaths are being looked at as a potential murder-suicide.
Police declined to comment to Patch about where the bodies were located and whether the case was being considered a murder-suicide.
