Body Found In Crissy Field Parking Lot: Police

The FBI is investigating after a person was found dead early Sunday in the lot, according to police.

SAN FRANCISCO — The FBI is investigating after a person was found dead in a parking lot at Crissy Field, according to authorities.

U.S. Park Police responded around 6:30 a.m. Sunday to the East Beach parking lot, where they met with the San Francisco Fire Department, and a person was found dead in the lot, park police said.

The investigation is ongoing and is being led by the FBI San Francisco Field Office because the person was found in an area of exclusive federal jurisdiction, according to authorities. The local FBI field office said in a prepared statement that there is no known threat to public safety.
