This in-person event will bring together jazz music lovers and community enthusiasts from all around the Bay Area. With a vibrant atmosphere and a lineup of talented musicians Club Mandalay promises to keep you grooving all afternoon. Don't miss out on this incredible afternoon of music, friends, and good vibes in the heart of San Francisco's Chinatown-North Beach district! 
 
This month, we're excited to present two ensembles: 
 
At 2 pm, our house band, the Manilatown Jazz Ensemble (AKA The Autonomous Region), will take the stage featuring Caroline Cabading on Vocals, Raymond Bambao on Bass, Harold Ohashi on Drums and Chris Planas on guitar. 
 
And don't go too far, because at 3 pm, Jibril's Cool Jazz Combo will be joining us, featuring Jibril Alvarez on piano.

A colorful and charismatic figure in the glittering world of Baroque Venice, Antonio Vivaldi was one of the most influential musicians of the 18th century. Known for his fiery temperament and dazzling virtuosity on the violin, he captivated audiences across Europe and transformed the landscape of instrumental music.&nbsp;
&nbsp;
This holiday season, YouTube stars Voices of Music celebrate with the radiant sounds of Vivaldi-music full of brilliance, warmth, and joy-featuring an all-star roster of soloists: Elizabeth Blumenstock, YuEun Kim, Isabelle Seula Lee, Augusta McKay Lodge, Eva Lymenstull, Hanneke van Proosdij, and Shelby Yamin. Performed on period instruments, this program captures the expressive depth of Vivaldi's beloved works.&nbsp;
&nbsp;
At the heart of the concert is The Four Seasons, celebrating its 300th anniversary. Each of the four concertos-Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter-paints a vivid portrait of nature's changing moods, from singing birds and murmuring brooks to rolling thunder and icy winds. With astonishing imagination, Vivaldi transforms the natural world into music that continues to inspire wonder. The colorful detail and emotional immediacy of The Four Seasons reveal Vivaldi's genius for tone painting and his ability to connect sound with the cycles of human life and the seasons of the heart.&nbsp;
&nbsp;
The Recorder Concerto in C Major RV 444 sparkles with playful brilliance, its quicksilver lines darting with festive spirit. In contrast, the Cello Concerto in A Minor RV 419 explores a more introspective sound world-lyrical and rich with emotional depth, culminating in a thrilling ground-bass variation. Rounding out the program, the Concerto for Four Violins in B Minor, RV 580 dazzles with exhilarating ensemble virtuosity as four soloists weave a lively tapestry of counterpoint and conversation.&nbsp;
&nbsp;
A luminous celebration of the holidays-music that captures both the splendor of Baroque Venice and the joyous spirit of the holidays.

Dear San Francisco is the critically-acclaimed intimate and immersive circus experience created by Bay Area natives and The 7 Fingers co-founders Shana Carroll and Gypsy Snider. Since opening in September 2021, Dear San Francisco has entertained over 100,000 locals and visitors. The production invites locals and visitors alike on a heart-stopping romp through both the essence and the myth that has San Francisco indelibly etched on our collective imagination. From the 1906 earthquake and Summer of Love to beat poetry and the mysterious fog, San Francisco comes vividly to life through a series of tableaus (acts), including hoop diving, Chinese pole, Korean plank, juggling, and “hand-to-trap” (a form first created by Shana Carroll), performed by an international cast of world-class acrobats.

San Francisco Playhouse

San Francisco Playhouse will journey Into the Woods this holiday season. Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s enchanting musical interweaves fairytale favorites in an exploration of what happens after “happily ever after.” A baker and his wife embark on a perilous quest to break a witch’s curse, finding Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, and a magic bean-toting Jack along the way. When wishes are granted, the characters contend with the consequences of what they thought they wanted. San Francisco Playhouse co-founder/producing director Susi Damilano directs with music direction by Dave Dobrusky and choreography by Nicole Helfer.
