Caltrain To Resume Normal Operations To SF Stations
Work focused on the system's electrification project.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Regular Caltrain weekday service was set to resume Monday morning as the second weekend of this phase of work to prepare the route for electrified trains was scheduled to finish by 4 a.m. Monday.
Having started Feb. 22 and running through March 29, Caltrain is planning for weekend work on the four train tunnels in San Francisco to pave the way for Caltrain's electrification, as well as to perform standard track repairs.
To accommodate the new electric trains by 2022, Caltrain crews will install the "catenary" system, the overhead wires from which the electric locomotives will draw power.
