SAN FRANCISCO, CA — As we head into the new week, we've rounded up the stories you may have missed Saturday and Sunday to prepare you for Monday.
But before we jump into Northern California's top stories, residents should expect a chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms Tuesday in parts of the Bay Area and Central Coast, according to the National Weather Service. With them come the increased risk of lightning strike wildfires.
"A 15-20% chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms through the early afternoon along the interior eastern portions of Contra Costa, Alameda, Santa Clara, San Benito and Monterey counties," NWS San Francisco forecasters wrote Monday. "Gradual cooling trend through the remainder of the week."

In other news, two people were hurt when a large remote-controlled plane crashed into a porch; three firefighters were injured while battling a mobile home blaze; five people were hospitalized after a two-car crash sent one vehicle into a home; multiple homes were evacuated amid a massive grass fire; and several fights shut down a county fair.
Plus, Labor Day demonstrations took place across the San Francisco Bay Area and the country in support of working class Americans. The rallies were part of a nationwide effort billed by organizers as "stop the billionaire takeover."
