FERNDALE, CA — A quake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.0 struck in the Pacific Ocean about 30.1 miles southwest of Ferndale on Sunday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The quake was detected around 2:52 p.m.
