UPDATED: Fallen Tree Blocks Multiple Lanes On Bay Bridge

SAN FRANCISCO — A large tree fell and was blocking multiple westbound lanes of the Bay Bridge at the Treasure Island tunnel on Tuesday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The downed tree was reported around 3:15 p.m. and was blocking three right westbound lanes, according to a CHP incident log.

CHP officers and Caltrans crews responded and were working to clear the roadway. San Francisco Fire Department was also on-scene and assisting in the removal of the fallen tree.

Lanes one through four were reopened at 4:15 p.m. Lane 5 remains closed but should reopen around 9 p.m., CHP said.
