New Sculpture ‘Arc of Peace’ Unveiled In San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO — The St. Regis San Francisco has unveiled Arc of Peace, a bronze sculpture by Colorado-based artist Lorri Acott, in collaboration with Aerena Galleries & Gardens.
The latest addition to the hotel’s art collection, the sculpture symbolizes peace and hope through an arc of bronze origami cranes released by a towering figure.
“Peace is not necessarily the absence of war or something we need to fight for,” Acott said. “It is something that can be created with our intentions and sent out into the world through our actions and interactions with each other and ourselves.” The sculpture’s elongated legs represent rising above challenges, while its large feet serve as a reminder to stay grounded.
