SAN FRANCISCO — Fire officials said one person was hospitalized after a fire broke out early Monday at a building in San Francisco's Mission District.
The fire was reported at 907 Valencia Street, where firefighters found a blaze that extended from the first to the third floor in the building's light well.
Light smoke filled the hallways and a shelter-in-place was called and later lifted.

One person was taken to a hospital with unknown injuries, according to the San Francisco Fire Department.
Two people were possibly displaced and the Red Cross called to provide assistance, fire officials said.

The cause is under investigation.
