SFPD Seek Witnesses, Video In Fatal Hit-and-Run

Bayview District locals and merchants are asked to check their surveillance cameras for possible leads to a suspect.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — San Francisco police on Tuesday issued a new appeal for assistance in identifying the driver and vehicle in a fatal hit-and-run collision early Friday, particularly witnesses and video.

Police are asking area Bayview District residents and business owners to check surveillance camera systems for possible images of the suspect vehicle.

Around 4:50 a.m., officers responded to a report of a person in the roadway near Cesar Chavez Street and Evans Avenue, police said.There, officers learned medics had been flagged down regarding the injured victim and they ultimately pronounced her dead at the scene.
