Rain Possible Ahead Of Easter: Bay Area Holiday Weekend Forecast
Here's when showers are possible as your plan your weekend.

SAN FRANCISCO — The Bay Area is in for a bit of rain Friday before a calmer trend emerges and lays the groundwork for a pleasant Easter weekend. According to the National Weather Service, most areas should skate by with just a few showers and a breeze, but more widespread rain is favored for the North Bay.
"Timing looks to be around midnight or so, with the band of showers moving southward through early Friday morning," forecasters wrote Thursday. "Measurable rain chances from the Monterey Bay southward appear dismal but [models] keep scattered shallow convective showers going through Friday morning from the Monterey Bay to the Big Sur coast."

Forecasters expect those showers will only amount to rain totaling only a few hundredths of an inch, while the North Bay could see as much as a half-inch. The trough should be out of the region by Friday evening, opening the door for a more springlike trend setting up Saturday.

"The weekend looks warmer and [drier] with temps in the 60s and 70s," forecasters said. "Sunday looks to be the warmest before we start to cool down again early next week."
Afternoon highs around San Francisco should break into the mid-60s by Sunday, with mostly sunny skies in the forecast through Monday. While there is a good amount of uncertainty in the distant forecast, another round of showers could arrive Tuesday. Updated climate outlooks now favor below-average temperatures up and down the West Coast next week.
